Ghosting, or “to ghost” is The act of one or more dead players spectating an alive enemy player, with the intent of revealing his or her actions or location to their alive comrades, giving them an unfair situational advantage. This is achieved usually through a voice chat program, such as Ventrillo, or an IRC client.

In simple terms, ghosting is the act of being or seeing, without being seen.

As viewers look through the gas mask, images of my face are reflected onto the action figures using pepper’s ghost. A virtual me becomes installed into the physical manifestation of the game space. Like Plato’s allegory of the cave, the diorama searches for my own personal answer to our own existence in the physical world.
